Founded in 1979 as a residential center for individuals with schizophrenia, we’ve since expanded our services to include bipolar treatment, anxiety and affective disorders, dual diagnoses and trauma-based conditions.

The Hanbleceya program as it exists today was started in 1993. It emphasizes the importance of helping individuals regain control of their own lives. Our unique structure provides intensive support for coping with illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and depression, amongst others. Our singular goal is to help clients learn the skills they need to live happy, healthy independent lives.

Bipolar treatment at Hanbleceya is tailored to individual need, but approaches to therapy typically include group and individual sessions, family therapy and recreational therapies.  Each client is assessed and treated by a team of professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists and primary care physicians.
