OCD, or obsessive compulsive disorder, is a common disorder and in fact, in the US, one in every fifty adults is affected by OCD to some degree. Common symptoms of this disorder include the continual washing of hands, hoarding, a preoccupation and unhealthy obsession with sex, or even a loathing of odd numbers. In fact, OCD is a broad range of symptoms and those who suffer from OCD are able to recognize their symptoms but are unable to stop them, and this leads to more anxiety. Hanbleceya is a compassionate and caring center that offers effective OCD treatment therapies. Our OCD treatment is offered by way as an independence-orientated program and the hope is that after the effective OCD treatment, an individual can enjoy a normal lifestyle, freed form the worry of compulsive behaviors. The fact is that OCD does not only affect the sufferer, but those who have a family member suffering from OCD will know full well the affect and the impact that this disorder has on their lives. In all OCD patients, repetitive behavior is the common thread and in most cases, sufferers who do not undergo OCD treatment will attempt to surpass their feelings and their obsessive thoughts; however, without proper therapy and without the right help, they will be unsuccessful.
Before OCD treatment can commence, the staff members of the treatment facility will assess the extent of the disorder and as such, determine the correct way forward to carry out the OCD treatment. Hanbleceya has long recognized the value and importance which family members play in the success of any treatment, be it OCD treatment, or treatment for addictions or mental disorders. The OCD treatment will involve bi-monthly family support groups and more than being a mechanism to treat OCD, this family meeting will aid in the healing process and help family members to reconnect. By browsing the Hanbleceya website, the online user can find out more about the different treatments which are offered and how our staff and our facilities can help with the most common and most perplexing of mental illnesses, from OCD to schizophrenia, eating disorders and alcoholism and drug addiction.
The name of our treatment center, Hanbleceya, means quest for vision and the name is in a Sioux Indian language. The founder of the center, Moira Fitzpatrick, was herself a sufferer of schizophrenia, and she created this center to help those suffering from the diseases, and eventually expanded treatment to offer assistance with various anxiety disorders such as OCD. The center was opened in 1979 and for more than three decades, Hanbleceya has been offering successful OCD treatment therapies and therapies for many anxiety and trauma-based conditions. Many of those who suffer from OCD have been misdiagnosed with conditions such as social anxiety, Tourette syndrome or a general anxiety disorder; however, as a leading mental health facility, Hanbleceya will carry out a series of assessments to determine if the OCD treatment will resolve obsessive compulsive behaviors.
